Support our Youngest Learners on June 8th

Join us for Do More 24 on Thursday, June 8th to help AppleTree close the achievement before children enter kindergarten.

Do More is an annual 24-hour fundraiser that is powered by United Way of the National Capital Area that will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 12:00 am until 11:59 pm. AppleTree is pleased to participate again this year and will be one of over 600 nonprofits from our region.

Low-income children stand to gain the most from high-quality preschool education, but they are also the least likely to receive it. So AppleTree Institute meets this need by working to close the achievement gap before students enter kindergarten by providing them with the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to thrive in school.

We do this through our instructional model Every Child Ready that drives what to teach, how to teach, and how to tell children are learning. Through Every Child Ready, we reach one out of seven preschoolers in Washington, DC — over 2,000 three- and four-year-olds at AppleTree’s 10 schools and nine partners.

Our students not only gain the strong academic and social skills needed to succeed in kindergarten, but maintain the academic growth in elementary school. You, too, can help make Every Child Ready!
