AppleTree@Rocketship opened in the Fall 2017 at with four preschool classrooms and four pre-K classrooms in the beautiful new space at Rocketship Rise Academy.
Our AppleTee@ model means that we provide a high-quality preschool and pre-K at Rocketship, a pre-K to 2nd grade public charter school. AppleTree students are enrolled at Rocketship and we work closely with the kindergarten teachers to ensure a successful transition from pre-K to elementary school.

The MSDC Common Lottery for SY19/20 deadline was March 1, 2019. Families will be informed on March 29th of their school choice. If you are matched or waitlisted to an AppleTree @ school, please contact the Operations Coordinator at the school for instruction to complete and secure your child’s seat for SY19/20.

Jevonna Willis is the founding Principal of AppleTree@Rocketship and joined AppleTree in 2013 serving as Principal at our Southwest campus and AppleTree@Democracy Prep. Before joining AppleTree, Ms. Willis worked as an Instructional Specialist for Charles County Public Schools planning early childhood programs. In addition, she has experience teaching in the District of Columbia and Arlington Public Schools. Ms. Willis also currently serves as an Instructor teaching child development courses to pre-service teachers at the University of the District of Columbia. She has a Bachelor of Science from Virginia State University in child development, a Masters of Education from Howard University in early childhood education, and a Masters of Education from George Mason University in education technology. She enjoys being the instructional leader for the students, teachers and families in Rocketship and takes pride in educating our young learners.
