Extended Day Program

AppleTree Schools offer an Extended Day program Monday – Friday from 3:30 – 6:00 pm. Our Extended Day program aligns with our mission to close the achievement gap for children before kindergarten while supporting the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.

The Extended Day program seamlessly transitions from the regular school day and children expand their language and literacy, math, and social skills based on the Every Child Ready curriculum.

Extended Day students at Lincoln Park also benefit from AppleTree’s partnership with The Fall to Spring Garden Program, which is part of the Kingman Park-Rosedale Garden Community Organization. Twice a week, students learn about food, earth conservation, and urban green space by planting AppleTree’s plot at the community garden.

In our Extended Day Program, students will participate in:

  • Whole group Lessons
  • Outdoor Play
  • Small Group and Curriculum Themed Activities
  • Gross and Fine Gross Motor Skills Based Practice
  • Independent, Student Led Centers
  • Social and Emotional Skills Group Work

  • 3:30 – 3:45pm – Snack (school provided)
  • 3:45 – 4:05pm – Bathroom Transitions
