Home Utilities Information

  • Message from Pepco:
    • We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are here to help customers through temporary or extended financial hardship. We are suspending service disconnections and waiving new late payment fees through at least May 1st. We will be working with customers on a case-by-case basis to establish payment arrangements and identify energy assistance options. We have programs to help.
  • Message from WA Gas:
    • Importantly, during these challenging times, we are temporarily suspending customer disconnections and waiving late fees for anyone unable to pay their monthly bills. Please call us at 844-WASHGAS (927-4427) or visit our E-Service portal at eservice.washgas.com for assistance.
  • Renters Information:
    • Tenants seeking legal, education, or outreach services should contact the Office of Tenant Advocate either online, through the “Ask the Chief Tenant Advocate” link or by calling (202) 719-6560.

  • COVID-19: What You Need to Know – This site provides the state of the COVID-19 virus in the United States and abroad, where infections are decreasing, and the steps states are taking to address the Coronavirus.
  • Uber is partnering with DC officials to offer a 25% discount (up to $10) for trips taken to or from any meal distribution locations until March 31st. The code will be available for use Monday through Friday during meal service times for an UberX or UberXL trip to or from a meal distribution location in the District of Columbia.
    • How to redeem the ride discount:
    • Open the Uber app and tap “Payment” in the app menu
    • Scroll down to “Promotions”
    • Tap “Add Promo Code”
    • Enter code DCPS2020 then tap “Add”
    • Select any of the pickup locations listed above as your destination
  • Thrive by Five DC – You can email or phone Thrive by Five for information on childcare subsidies, monthly copays, or other questions about where to start. Leave a voicemail and you will be contacted.
