This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation and AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School website.

Mailing List Subscriptions

If you wish to receive news and action alert items from AppleTree, you may sign up for our email mailing list. When signing up, we collect the following information:

  • Organization name (optional)
  • Your connection to AppleTree
We use this information to send email notices to you. We will not share this information with third parties unless required by law. You may remove yourself from the mailing list at any time simply by clicking the unsubscribe link at the end of every message we send you.

Comments and Sharing

AppleTree uses plugins by Disqus and AddThis on our blog posts. Any information you disclose in your public activities (such as comments), along with your screen name or ID, or any image or photo, becomes public and can be read, collected, or used by other visitors, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit on this site.

Website Cookies

When you access pages on the AppleTree website, we send one or more cookies — a short string of characters — to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. This identity is used to authenticate and authorize your access to services provided on the website. We will not share this identify information with third parties unless required by law. We use Google Analytics, which will also place cookies in your browser. This service allows us to analyze the performance of the website and make improvements where needed. We will not share any individually identifiable information collected with third parties unless required by law. We may share, or publish, aggregate statistical information (e.g. number of unique visitors in a given month) to funders, policy makers, and the public. Log Files

Our web server generates a log entry for each item requested. Logs are reviewed daily to detect problems with the site (e.g. broken links) and vulnerability scans. Weekly reports are generated to quantify requests to resources that are not traceable by Google Analytics (e.g. PDF documents, audio files, and video files). We will not share any individually identifiable information collected with third parties unless required by law. We may share, or publish, aggregate statistical information (e.g. number of unique visitors in a given month) to funders, policy makers, and the public.
